My experience with R5 Racing coilovers

A few months back I went down the suspension upgrade path, and was recommended R5 Racing coilovers, as the factory would be able to customise the product to my ask, which was for a comfort solution and being able to tow a camper trailer. The result was disappointing. With heavy springs fitted...

GTS Front END Suspension Bottoming out

Muz, you will have read that several owners here are happy with the MCA product. I went with a different brand based on DHF's recommendation, and so far have not been happy. To their credit, they are trying to remedy the issue, so I'm not going to give full details of that journey until I allow...

    Hello from Belgium

Mine was a 2000 GT Forester. Yes I think. The 140kW 245Nm engine seems tame, but the car was far smaller and lighter than today's SUVs. Given the same suspension setup, my understanding is the higher the rubber sidewall, the more comfort you are going to have, especially on poor roads or dirt...

    Hello from Belgium

Hi Thomas, I came from a Forester GT hoping the Levorg GT-S would be the that with more spice. You are going to love everything about it on great sealed roads. However, you need to know: This is a WRX sports car. The stock suspension setup and wheel size is going to concern you on poor roads...

    G'day from Victoria Australia

That's what I'm hoping, even if I go up a few cm's. I don't understand. If I can adjust my Coilovers above stock height a few cm ... don't spacers do exactly the same thing?

    G'day from Victoria Australia

Height is a secondary consideration, fixing the stock suspension issues is a must. But the reason for asking all this is I had a chat to DHF and they said "well, what height do you want?". Mad research starts. I know it will come down to personal preference and driving style ... for...

    G'day from Victoria Australia

So, apart from the looks, why lower? Am I right to understand that a lower height means less transfer of weight to the outside wheels in a corner, thus a more evenly distributed weight to all wheels, equaling more grip? I would guess you have 1-2cms of difference from stock height ... and this...

    Only one reverse tail light?

Yes! I want to do a proper road trip in it next time as well. My tip is going in off season, everything nice and quiet and easy traveling. So the borg got up the Spirit of Tas boat ramps ok?

    Only one reverse tail light?

In may we traveled from Vic to Tas for a break. On stepping off the aircraft in Launceston whole plane was immediately ushered into a quarantine tent, temperature check 1st, mandatory travel history questionnaire and download a tracking app. Had to show both to quarantine staff who then handed...

    Only one reverse tail light?

Hi @robo498 - you mentioned to me the mob you purchased a good reversing LED lamp from, I forgot the name, could you share that with me again? And for the benefit of others in the forum :)

    Spare wheel

Assuming my coilover suspension upgrade works out well ... I'd be interested if you'd like to sell 'one' :)

GTS Front END Suspension Bottoming out

I left a post on productreview.com.au and within hours Subaru found my correspondence and replied! Was told there is 'nothing' they can do for me, and the standard spiel that it's not recommended I try and fix the problem myself. :D

    Stumpvold's Levorg

Great! Occasional offroad Levorg interests me. So how much higher is this comapred to stock height? I'm looking to get some adjustable coilovers and the dealer asked what upper and lower range I would like, compared to stock. This 'looks' about right for offroad to me.

    Towing with a Levorg

Thank-you for the pictures. The camper has leaf suspension with a shock as well. You have made some excellent suggestions, and I understand the Australian factory can customise the build a bit, so that is well worth investigating.
