Hey guys,
Just wanting to know if 15+ WRX mirror caps work on Levorgs. Or is there a better way to get them white, instead of the silver look.
Also anyone know If the black surround on the front of the mirror can be replaced without getting a whole new mirror?

Cheers

Unsure for the black surround.

The grey thing can be purchased - I got mine from Japanpart.com, it supplies genuine subaru parts worldwide. That's the easiest way I found to get the right color mirror covers for my Levorg in belgium, considering subaru belgium doesn't import those mirror caps.

[edit]based on https://www.japanparts.com/images/image_from_db.php?no=71974 , the black plastic you want to replace is the wing mirror structure itself. you may be able to order it from your dealer, reference is 91031O.
And that's the same reference for WRXs it would seem.

Also, don't forget to drop a line to introduce yourself. Nothing fancy, stuff like what country you live in, if you had subaru before :)

Thanks !

I really hoped the black surround was a screw in piece to the structure.. but cheers, been a great help!

I’m from Melbourne, Australia currently own an STI Levorg, Starting to look at getting the chrome blackout and coilovers. in the past I’ve own a 2006 Liberty (Legacy) and a 2006 Forester.

Welcome aboard Tim.

I'm in Brisbane. You might be able to see in my profile picture that nearly all the chrome is blacked out. Previous owner sprayed it with Plastidip and after over 3 years it's going strong. I may have to redo at some point, and I believe Plastidip is relatively easy to remove and re-spray. Why people use Plastidip is that you can remove and return to standard if need be. Far cheaper than buying new bits, but new bits would look better in the long run.

Having said all that I'd be interested if you get black covers and they are good!

Cheers

was thinking about getting them wrapped myself. Hopefully in the next week or two I’ll Get all the chrome wrapped in black.

Do you know if the passenger side mirror comes apart any different to the drivers side? It seems to be harder to pull off and with the camera in the mirror I dont want to pull to hard.
cheers Tim

Hey Tim. I have no experience in removing the mirror covers. Suggest a trim removal kit from Supercheap if you're having a go. The kit has a lot of different plastic levers.

I had my mirror caps wrapped in gloss black (would be nice to see what they'd look like in matt black), along with the grille the chrome pieces near the fog lights and the chrome strip above the rear number platelenny-min-min.jpg.
