Passenger air bag warning light

I am looking to buy a '69 ( 2019), Levorg from a non franchised dealer.

I have notice, on a brief test drive, that the dashboard light for the passenger air bag is illuminated in amber.

The dealer is telling me this is normal... and it is to advise that the air bag is on and is a safety feature so the driver doesn't put a baby seat without turning it off.

Is this correct as it seems very odd to me?

Yep that's normal when the seat is not occupied , changes colour with a passenger.
