So, given that my Spec B Levorg has plenty of STI trim but no actual sti components besides the front Strut Bar, i thought I might start with the brakes. Has anyone swapped calipers and/or discs yet to something either slotted or at least just bigger? I'm imagining STI WRX rotors and calipers should bolt straight on, but was wondering if anyone has done anything different?

Looks like maybe @Prasarn D. has some experience with this?

Note he has aftermarket wheels however...

I think you could take some WRX 2015- BREMBO BRAKES, I'm almost sure that a Brembo model should fit but I don't know which one if STI or not. The big problem, to be honest, is the wallet. The GT http://www.brembo.com/it/auto/uso-sportivo/sistemi-frenanti-gt are 3000 euro front and 3000 rear ! :) That's why I didn't go deeper... LOL
Here you have all the specs where you can check which one: http://www.brembo.com/it/Varie/BremboGTR_ApplicationList.pdf

Reading WRX forums I doubt upgraded rears will be readily available due to the eBrake that CVT models have, but STI fronts should be OK wheel clearance permitting.

Hi Akko! Maybe Tomorrow I will directly phone in Brembo (which stays no more than 35 km from me) because I think there's the chance also for rear brakes. I explain you why (if I'm right and I don't know) I've looked on the PDF the specs and it's not only WRX and WRX STi, you have to consider also Legacy and sometimes the specs are very similar for all of them.
So Tomorrow I will check and give you a definitve answer.
P.S. On Old wrx forums then, I saw and I know for sure that is possible to adapt Alfa Romeo Brembo brakes to WRX... They cost less (obviously the model is less quality, but Always good) and you need to know or be a good mechanic to do that, cause you need to create a specific braket so I suspect it could be possible for Levorg as well... But I CANNOT SUGGEST THAT, obviously.

Also anyone know if the Spec B wheels will clear the STI brembo brakes?

Looks like there is a wider version of the same wheels available if not...

As I said I phoned but there was no chance to speak with trade marketing, which is the unit to solve our problem (they told me that). So I've sent an email but the answer will arrive not before than 2nd of may. Let's wait.

Hi everybody... With stock wheels (114.5 18 7,5 et 40/50) there's no chance for front Brembo calipers (and maybe a lot of other brands)... I tried myself following the instructions of https://blog.racetechnologies.com/2015/07/31/how-to-measure-your-wheel-for-proper-brake-clearance/
made all the templates, tried with normal Wrx (front), Wrx Sti MY2015 (front), Legacy 2.5i my2014 (front /back), Legacy 3.2 my2014 (front back).
I tried the Gold calipers and also the red drilled ones. The only one that would probably fit is the rear Gold Caliper for Legacy 2.5i my 2014. But here we have a problem which I couldn't solve yet: the problem is the one presented by Akko about CVT ebrake, that is the reason why there are rear Brembo available for WRX sti instead, which is only MT (and won't work on our CVT). For normal Wrx neither, anyway, also if it is cvt. Legacy 2.5 i is both Mt and CVT, but I don't know if Brembo are suitable for CVT.
The big problem, anyway, are the rim clearences: there's no space inside. I wear Rays f57xx and don't know, I've tried only the stock ones (below), which where not mounted on the car.

There's a chance, which opens a lot of different possibilities (not only with Brembo) , which is to use, for example, a spacer like that:
    http://item.rakuten.co.jp/ksp-attain/ks-56201-vm4-vmg?s-id=sd_browsehist_search
With 20 mm more you can use a lot of different models of Brakes...

About spacers there are different opinions, make your own (but always remember: bad and soft materials may cause fatal injuries)

You could also use slotted disc's/rotors and sportier pads? Small improvement, but better than nothing.

    " Rear brakes

Electronic Parking Brake integrated brake system
The Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) is built into the brake caliper, clasping the brake pad with motor power to ensure hold. Locating the EPB inside the caliper makes the system quieter and more responsive.

    Accelerator linked operation
The EPB automatically releases when the system judges the driver is moving the vehicle.

    Hill Holder
When the vehicle is stopped on a hill, the system automatically applies the EPB to prevent rolling backward between brake release and re-starting.
The EPB reduces weight by 3kg compared to a conventional cable/pull handbrake. It also improves responsiveness."

I'll likely use that route for atleast the rears... one assumes the EyeSight system also has to be a factor somehow?

    ST26300VV000 rotors/f
    ST26296EZ020 pads/f
    ST26700VV000 rotors/r
    ST26296ST080 pads/r

    Also avoid spacers...

@Prasarn D. has done the front STI/Brembo brake caliper upgrade, hopefully he can share more information about what parts were used.

Closer to giving this a go, will report back on results.
Wider wheels fitted and had the front Calipers/Rotors/Pads from a 2015 WRX STI (Brembo 4-pot) recently arrive.

Time to book into the workshop to do brakes & springs!

I feel like the stock brakes are quite a decent size. The weakness seems to be the pads, they suck! I think I'll be swapping mine to something like an Intima SR, tried these on a another car and difference was night and day! much much more stopping power and reduced fade.

Cheers, did you endure technical constraints with fitment of the brembo's?
How are you finding the springs now?...any extra info?

Not quite sure that Intima have pads available for the levorg.

DBA have some affordable brake packages available.
There's also this for a brake pad only upgrade option.
