Nice Anthony thanks for the info have been thinking of importing a 2.0 to the UK as we don't get that model here. Dumb question but there's no way to adjust it to show British mph and mpg instead of that weird km stuff I guess? <wink>

    Boot Lighting Upgrade

Great find @Oz-B-Spec. They're back on ebay folks, so bought a set. How did you run the wiring from the trunk lid to the passenger side trunk light? The only route seems to feed it through the small cable guide tubing between the lid and car body? How to get it there and then beyond? Sorry -...

    Upgrading Steering

Judging by the ribbing on the new ones I expect they are more rigid... but tbh I am hard put to tell the difference in feel. I expect there is so much more needing adjusted anway (e.g. bushes, droplinks, tyres). Anyway glad they're in gives me the feeling I tried something at least.

    Tyres

Ok - quick update. Had been worried about trouble with my brakes around same time I changed tyres and wondered if they were interfering with my mpg. Had them looked at and adjusted and it seems so... as on these new tyres I now get up to 50 mpg on motorway (=extra-urban) driving! And around...

    Boot Lighting Upgrade

Wow nice and timely was just about to change mine over too, have always fitted extra lights in the rear of my Subarus. Usually just surface mount ikea LED but they are never completely flush though they work a treat.Ikea dont do them any more, but this kinda thing...

    Tyres

I have mainly used the RE040 cannot comment on 003. Perhaps they have quite a different compound. I found the "grippy" compound on the 040 wore out very fast. (Of course it depends on the car and driving style but was comparing against Eagles on same car/driver=me). I did find the 040 very...

    Tyres

I find Bridgestones very predictable and good in dry but very poor in the wet. Gave up on them a long time ago. I also seemed to eat them very fast, they didnt last. 6 months at best.

    Tyres

Like @Keithb I also came to hate the stock 050 fitted on European cars. Impossible to get hold of the tyres here unless you pay the single supplier a fortune (200 GBP per tyre) and wait a week. And the delicate little things seem to be screw magnets - I lost 2 tyres within a month of getting my...

    Upgrading Steering

Oh good show. Just got mine done today too. @AKKO how are they different to the ones already fitted on the stock car (which my mechanics replaced with these)? Am trying to convince myself the car feels slightly sharper now but not very noticeable to me (yet). Didnt drive em back to back, had a...

    Hi from Sydney!

Nope. Just the damp squib. Along with it's other challenges: 1. Steering has weird feedback with little/no feel and heavy/self-centering when unwanted, and fails to centre when wanted. 2. Springs are very crashy, and damping soft and wallowy. Hard to control for driver and sickening for...

    Hi from Sydney!

Am on 95RON as well. Would be hapy to have more power as well as better efficiency! Really missing my old Impreza GB270, the Levorg is a bit of a damp squib.

    Upgrading Steering

Yes planning on getting a workshop to do mine too but they are a bit timid, so probably still helpful if your workshop could shoot me over a couple more shots like the one on the japanparts site, maybe a shot of both sides so they can see clearly where it fits on; and any advice on the bolt size...

    Upgrading Steering

Yeah mine is crashy at the front and wallowy at the rear. Thought it was just the UK spec. And you already have Bilsteins with the same result... weird. (Unless of course it turns out we have the same setup here as stock). Be interested to hear how you get on with your new springs. Also the...

    Here is mine!

Thanks or the info. I already have the folding mirrors fitted (dealer added as freebie) - they don't work very well tbh, seem to have a mind of their own. I presume I can add the tilt/roll-up in addition to that easily? Will email subaigarage.com (their website seems a tad unifinished!)
