Spark plug wear

I realised the spark plug change was overdue and looking at the plugs that came out I thought people might be interested in seeing the wear on plugs that have done 71k miles. All 4 plugs have the same wear and are the same colour. The new ones are Bosch, they seem ok so far.

It looks like the electrode has worn away and at some point the tip would've fallen out.

no they didnt wore out. the original ngk ones are supposed to look like that. the platinum or iridium part is welded on like that, also seen in the servicemanual. i too changed to bosch at 105k km and the bosch have the contact molten into the electrode. as for the service manual the bosch are more for the 2.0l engine, and the ones you took out for the 1.6. didtn recognize any differences so far and no codes. behaves exactly the same.
