The Levorg wheel fitment topic

i guys I am really confused by all this and would appreciate further advice.

The rims I am considering for the 2020 levorg are 18x8.5 with a 245/40/R18. They are not an offering per Subaru in Oz. So I know very little about all this stuff and would greatly appreciate any advice as shipping costs from overseas is very expensive as you guys know.

I think they are offset 55 but do not know what that term means?

I think early on in the thread someone mentions that the size you're talking (245 50 18 on an 18x8.5 ET55) was an optional fit in the UK on the Levorg. It's the WRX STi wheel fitment.

Offset (or backspacing) is how far away the face of the wheel that meets the hub is away from the center line of the wheel. ET55 means 55mm towards the face/spokes of the wheel, which means the wheel sits 55mm further in to the wheel well. ET45 would be 10mm closer to the wheel arch, ET65 would be 10mm closer to the suspension etc.

Got these for an absolute steal, all four wheels for $750. Gotta get some fresh tires though, thinking 245/45 if anyone had any thoughts.
