    Charlie's work in progress

Installed the new radiator, fans and PCV oil catch can today. As usual took longer than it should've. The catch can had a couple tricky moments, but overall pretty straight forward. The new "plug n play" radiator fans are not that at all. They were supposed to plug into the factory plugs, but as...

    VM parts

Got a few parts to get rid of - front bumper with genuine STI lip, would polish up pretty good, couple marks. Complete minus the squirter covers - side skirts with genuine STI lips - factory intercooler and piping - factory stereo Make an offer. Not going to post these, pick up only. Located...

    Adding Ethanol to The Tank?

In Australia we have E85 at the pump at selected gas stations. It's an ethanol blend containing upto 85% ethanol. A flex fuel kit allows you to run the car on petrol, or E85 or a blend in between. It senses the mix and adjusts injectors etc to suit the fuel.

    Upgrade CVT cooler

Ok so I've just realised my fa20 levorg has a tiny front mount CVT cooler. I was planning on installing an aftermarket one, the mishimoto one that runs through the factory heat exchange cooler/heater on the drivers side. But after noticing this little factory one running on the passenger side...

I'd basically talked myself into just doing the pcv catch can. Was thinking about an AOS but the more I looked into it, the more I couldn't justify spending that much. Alot of people saying the oil sludge that it would return wouldn't be ideal to have go back into the oil, but also it's not...

    Tune results

Yea that's the plan, CVT cooler, oil catch can, and even looking at a better radiator are what I'm eyeing up next. Unfortunately though, it looks like I'm getting a root canal first

I'm still having the "stutter" issue, was hoping the boost controller would sort it out, but it's definitely the gearbox. It's only a problem if I really give it gas. I usually drive on the lowest tune map I have, which is about 20hp less than those numbers on the dyno chart. Likely getting a...

Latest tune results after installing verticooler, TGV deletes and 3 port boost controller. The boost controller levelled out that dip. Very happy with the result.

    Charlie's work in progress

Just got the car back after installing the 3 port boost controller and TGV deletes. Unfortunately, and as expected the stuttering is still there. So I'll look into getting a new gearbox in the future. The new dyno graph looks alot better than before, doesn't have the dip from the old tune...

    Charlie's work in progress

I dunno how I let this happen, but I just installed a process west verti intercooler. Good kit, comes with charge pipe, new bonnet ducting and an aluminium belt cover. Was not quite as fun as I thought it would be. The mounting brackets for the intercooler were for a manual, so didn't line up...

    Charlie's work in progress

Upgraded the speakers this morning. Bought the alpine S2-S65c's for the front doors and dash tweeters. And the S2-S65's for the rear doors. Sounds a lot better across the board now, and my driver's door speaker isn't fizzling out like before ha. Easy install, trickiest part was figuring out how...

    Charlie's work in progress

Just taken it for a decent drive, put the boost back up to 0.9, so far no issues! I'm pretty happy to say the least Now I assume it's the new plugs, or possibly having the battery disconnected for a while resetting the CVT computer. God, so happy right now.
