As someone who's hoping to hold onto my car for as long as possible, I've been doing some extra homework the new subaru DI engine in our Levorgs. Specifically for myself with the 2L turbo petrol, this I've been reading more on the FA20DIT or FA20F.

I've noticed that other similar Subaru forums recommend (at least considering) the addition of a oil catch can fitted to the PCV at minimum and to include the turbo CCV as well if possible (https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2672269). I understand the reasons stated for doing so are that having a catch can kit will reduce the amount of blow-by products and oil vapours being recirculated back through to our intake which consequently contribute to carbon deposits forming on our intake valves.

As far as direct fit kits go, I've found only a handful with the most popular option in AUS apparently being the Mishimoto kit as found by this link - (https://www.mishimoto.com.au/subaru-wrx-baffled-oil-catch-can-system-2015.html)

I thought to ask other members here about your experiences - If you've fitted a catch can, how did you end up installing them? What have your experiences being with fitting them? Would you recommend it?

Aside from the above, I've also been thinking to change the suspension too but that can wait until a later time!

Hi. I've been thinking the same for some time but never got around to it (and waiting for warranty to lapse). I'll be asking my local Subaru workshop what they think the next time I'm down there.
