I'm getting 10 l/100km combined...

And what u guys think about engine oil?
Factory says 0w20 my local dealer uses 5w30.

Best regards and safe kilometers.

Hello there :)

I've been keeping track of my consumption since I bought the car new (102.000km)
- best fuel 6.96l/100km
- worst fuel 11.43l/100km
- avg fuel 9.07l/100km (220 refuels). Using "intelligent" gearbox mode, with manufacturer recommended tire pressure.

running 0w20 as per manufacturer, no issue, no oil consumption :)

Well i'm using "I" mode aswell, but my daily (15km to work) which has 10km of cruising with 60kmph is almost as bad as your worst consumption.
While cruising that 10km it shows 5-7L and arriving at destination its 10 to 11.

If i may ask whats your climate, we got 10C outside atm.

Got the car last week and now i'm afraid that smth is wrong...

My last subaru was 07 legacy 2.0 4At and it had better fuel economy.

Currently 13°c.

Are you using seat heaters, AC, defroster ? Are your tire inflated enough ? Are those tires rated good for fuel consumption ?

turbo car like fuel a lot. they're only efficient at stable speed (highway, or your 60km/h cruising). stop & go traffic is bad for any car, but especially for turbos :/

I-mode and recommended tire pressure:
- best 7,1l/100km (<- summer)
- worst 9,4l/100km (<- winter)
- avg 8,8l/100km (<- per year)

These are calculated by myself. Car computer will show approx 0,5l lower consumption.

I have noticed that below 10°C it could take 10-15km (80km/h) before water/oil temperature is raised to normal level. Don't know could this affect to fuel consumption and if then how much.

That's why I'm using mask cover (or what it is in english) when temperature is +5°C or below:

At least water/oil temperature will rise to normal bit faster. And of cource when possible I use block heater.

That's something I tried (and failed at) when I was still commuting 150km every day, on a small petrol engine (nissan micra if you must know).
When t° went below 10°, the engine would reach operating t° by the time I got to the highway. And once I was driving highway speed, it would drop to ~70°C because cooling was too efficient in those circumstances :D

Baz, care to share where you got those grills covers from ?
