I had an error code for a faulty pre cat O2 sensor and swiftly replaced it with an oem one from Subaru.
I noticed my mpg stayed between 8kph & 4kph and granted I was only doing short journeys but it should have improved with a new sensor.
It may be placebo, but I disconnected the battery for 7hrs and on a 10mile trip after a 10minute idle, I'm seeing 11mpk!
