Hi Guys, e

On the hunt for a second hand levorg at the moment. Having had a good browse through here and a few other subaru forums there doesn't seem to be any out of factory issues that are huge problems across the board for the Levorg. Are there any areas I should pay particular attention to during inspections?

Cheers

Haha thanks guys. Probably the good reason i've had to ask is there doesn't seem to be any major systemic issues with them. Ill add Niodaches points to my check list and see how I go. Im in Melbourne and have seen plenty of locals complain about the stock suspension. Ill have to give what ever I end up with a good drive first, my current ride is an old, tired Foz, so itll be a very different experience either way.

I think mine was a one off but I had the transmission replaced under warranty due to an “internal fault”. Subaru wouldn’t tell me what the actual fault was.
I’m still investigating a wirring noice that Subaru keep saying is the tyres but I’ve now two different sets and it’s the same. Waiting for COVID restrictions in VIC to end to get a specialist to look at it and diagnose.

Subaru also replaced the leather steering wheel under warranty as it was cracked due to sun damage. known issue worldwide on 2015-2017 subarus (from what I’ve read).

Subaru refused to replace the leather wearing on the drivers seat back saying the owner manual advises not rubbing your back on the seat back (seriously).

Otherwise, it’s a sick car! I often catch myself staring at it in the driveway. I added STI 18’s and installed under seat amp/sub which is a wise investment if you like music.

I’m about to purchase and install MCA coil overs as the stock suspension is rubbish, crashes over the slighted bump at the front then bounces at the rear. Going to black out the chome then leave it alone for a while and just enjoy the car.

Hope this has helped you

Looks great, I see it has the upgraded grill and the STI toys (front lip, wheels) hope you enjoy it ! Take it to DHF tyres and they can order the mca coilovers for you. Yes they are still open, your suspension is a safety issue so you can go see them during lock down, make sure you tell them you were referred by this club and me (Robert with the 2017 grey levorg)
