Boot closing

Question i'm sure someone has come across. Does anyone find the boot closing a bit of an issue. Any time i have a good amount in the boot it does not latch. I cannot just "force" it closed as it seems to be electric rather than mechanical closure. Is there any way around this where it can just be closed by pushing on it rather than the way it currently works? Thanks

mine sometimes misbehave like you describe, but that's typically when the protective floormap protudes out just too much.
putting it back in place (or slamming that boot) does the trick usually.

Back at this. As the boot closer is electronic when closeing when the boot is full of stuff you cannot close it. Is there a way to override what the boot assumes is a block on the boot? It's annoying as the boot is not even that full just items up against the boot when full. Thanks
