I got her last August, it's about time I post some pictures of my lady Grovel Express (hat tip to anyone who fully understands where the name comes from. Aussies should have it easy :D)

This is the dark grey color, with matching mirror covers (which are not available in Benelux. I ordered those from japanparts), and STI pack (it was in promo when I ordered her ; paid ~450€ for the pack without gearknob)

She's currently riding on gunmetal Rota Gravel 18x8, and I also have Team Dynamics Monza in PowerSilver color for winter tires.

Very nice indeed, what tyres are you running with the 18x8 rims 235/45R18?

running stock size, just went for tires with rim protection. I've gotten Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2 225/45R18 for summer.
Winter, the owner manual states we should use 17, so I got Dunlop Winter Sport 5 215/50R17 (on 17x7)

I had a look at the table on page https://www.pneus-online-belgique.be/equivalence-des-pneus-conseils.html, which states 225 is completely fine, like 235 as well. Figured out (maybe wrongly) that stock size would be fine :p

Those wheels look fantastic - what offset are they?
I was considering these for my car but now they will be my choice!

Thanks Nicodache,

After checking with the supplier the Gravel in 5x114.3 is not offered here in Australia.
However the supplier can organise a special order from the factory and they have a container shipping in 3-4 weeks!!

One other thing
Do you have any rubbing issues? Just don't want any problems when I get my wheels.

Would it be possible to take a couple of close up so I can see how close to flush the wheel/tire sits in relation to the body?

Many thanks
Matt

Hi there,

No rubbing issue whatsoever from what I do remember.

You'll have to wait a bit for the close up pics ; I haven't got that in stock, and I'm still on winter tires for a few more weeks :D

Back from dealer for putting winter tires on with the TPMS stuff.

I asked them to check a few things, and it turns out that at 100.000km, Grovel Express has
- worn strut top hat (left)
- worn bushing for control arms (unsure top or bottom)
- airco compressor whine

stupid Belgian roads :(

Yeah sounds like Aussie roads to me, I reckon all that damage was caused by the poor suspension, except the aircon of course, sounds like coil overs will solve all our problems

Looking for winter wheels.

Found
That all look good enough to me, but unsure what to choose exactly.

Because of belgian roads, and rules, I wanna stick to the factory approved winter tire size of 215/50r17, so I'm after a 17x7 or 17x7.5.

What are your suggestions ? :D
