I've used Japan Racing calculator (https://jr-wheels.com/et-calculator), that gives a visual indication on how much poke you get.
Combine that tool with rim specs you can find from members here and you can get yourself an idea how it may fit.

FWIW, I'm running 8-wide with ET44, with no rubbing issue. I wouldn't be as confident with a 10-wide ET40 though :eek:

It's good because you can customize the guard clearances, but I can't find the values for my car on the internet, so not sure how accurate it is for visual.

From asking around, it seems a 10 wide needs rear control arm upgrades. A 9 you may only need to roll guards. So for the sake of a rim face, it's becoming quite a costly endeavour. I might just have to have a cry and get over it.

18x8 ET45 Looks great on stock suspension. What would the recommended tire size be for that, 225/45?

Found these, kinda similar to sti style, niche gamma m224, 18 x8 offset 40, fill the gaurds nicely..

Standard 225 /45 R18, think I'll replace with the same, need the little extra cushion.... ;)
