Hey all,

Looking at getting a "no tune" intake from Perrin for my 2014 FA20 Levorg. Found a decent one second hand but is specified for 15-21 year.

Anyone know if it is the fitment that will be an issue, or possibly will it remove the "no tune" ability of the intake itself ? Any thoughts please let me know!

Cheers.

15-21 is the Subaru 1st gen, the 2nd gen is the 21 -> current.

your 2014 is a Model Year 15, so I'm fairly certain it fits just fine, no tune needed, all good :)

Legend! I was on the fence but that has convinced me to bite the bullet and grab it.

Thanks mate. Hopefully no check engine lights!

How are you finding it?
I had one for a while. The MAF pipe in the perrin intake is a few mm smaller than what is in the standard airbox, so probably runs slightly rich.
Ended up getting slightly worse fuel economy, car felt slower and was too rowdy for my liking,
Got rid of it and went with a turbo inlet kit and some silicone/ally piping up to the airbox. Which gives a little turbo and bov noise but not too much

Hey mate, car is definitely slower than stock air box but sounds a millions times better. Was going to install a BOV but don’t think I’ll need with the noise that the intake makes. Fuel consumption has definitely increased slightly but that’s likely due to chasing the induction sounds. Installed without a problem and has run mint other than that for anyone else wondering. Cheers

I wonder how it sounds compared to just a k&n or pipercross panel filter. I have the pipercross panel filter, and can hear it slurping well

I can't find anything that says what cold intake kit fits a levorg, do they class the levorg as 'WRX / WRX STI'?
Would love to hear some videos of what you guys have done / what your running.
Put a deposit down an 18 plate STI last week, pick it up in about 6 weeks!

Originally had a K&N panel filter, the Perrin Intake is a decent portion louder especially at lower Rev. Ends up making the same "whooshing" sounds a basic BOV setup would make when the throttle is released too.

I believe the Levorg & WRX are the same from the B pillar foward. Something along those lines anyway, so the majority of mods or parts that fit a WRX will fit the Levorg & Vice Versa. The Perrin intake was made for a WRX but fits to and runs on the Levorg perfectly
