Is the yellow thing actually sliding inside the lower part of the strut ? Or it's just being worn out by the rubber protection ?
If that's the rubber, rubber will fail before yellow steel thing

The yellow part of the strut is going up and down. I guess a build up of dirt is rubbing against it and wearing the inner section down. I guess it's only a matter of time before it wears through and starts leaking.

surprising. the up/down bit usually is shiny metal. I'll try & check on mine over the weekend to see what it looks like
I would have thought the strut would move inside itself at the top, under the dust cover.
But these look like they go inside from the bottom. * my suspension feels absolutely fine.
