Anyone know what the max offset is for a 22+ levorg with 19x8.5s and 245 40 tyre? Will a +38 fit with no rubbing at all on factory suspension? I was hoping to fit these and get an extra approx 10mm of ground clearance (average driveway), and hoping it slightly reduces the gap at the same time? Anyone done this combination? (I'd happily stick with 18s but a little more ground clearance would be great, that's the only reason for the 19 option)

As per https://www.wheel-size.com/size/subaru/levorg/2022/, OE is ET55 for 7 and 7.5 wide.

If you want to go for 8.5, I'd recommend you stick to that offset, or at least stay as close as possible to it.

https://wheelpope.com/?language=en can help you get a visual representation of how much it pokes, and where.

As you can see, with a 8.5 wide and ET38, you end up poking outwards 3cm. Combined with the 1.86 added added diameter (which translate into your tires 0.93cm closer to the inner arches), you increase your chances of rubbing the inner side of the wheel body work quite significantly.

These are 19x8.5 et45, with 235/45/19. When I ordered my zr10s they had me look at this, even though mines a 2016. So my wheel specs are the same, and I reckon I could prolly push to +38. But for that, and even what I'm running, having stiffer coilovers is pretty much a must. I reckon a 245/40 might rub though. A 235/40 might be the go? Still reasonably meaty.

Haha sorry not sure how much help this is. Screenshot_20250412-080814.png

Thanks mate! Yeah I'm pretty sure +42 is close to max on a 19x8.5 with a 245/40 (and a little worse with the 235/45). How have you found the ride on yours? I'm tempted to stay at 18, but surely 1 extra inch can't make that much of a difference? You've never made contact? Also how much lower is yours then standard? Mine is actually an MY24/same as the pic.

The rides good, obviously a bit bumpier than stock due to the coilovers. The tyre has never rubbed. I think I've dropped it about 30 or 40mm. I'll check that later today when I get a chance.

So currently my wheel arches are 670mm from the ground. I remember I played around with it when I put the new wheels on. I think maybe that's not much different to stock height if anyone knows/can measure.PXL_20250413_222639201.jpgPXL_20250413_222620400.jpg

Hello guys, I have a 2016 subaru levorg and I use it with stock coilovers, I have superspeed 18x8.5 35 offset rims and I am thinking of buying new tires for these rims. I am undecided between 235/45, 235/40 and 245/40, I need your help :)

I would go 245/40 personally, wider more grip more tyre outside of wheel for curb.

But the 235/45 give you a better ride more sidewall / comfort on stock suspension.
but also be a slight stretch compared to 245 so depends if you want the straight look vs slight angle on sidewall.

What tyres are currently on the rims?

Hello all, I have a 21 levorg and decided to go for some 17" wheels as I wanted a slightly more complient ride and the roads near me are terrible.

I got some Honda penta alloys at a very good price and had them refurbished.
I put some new 225/50/17 tyres on.
Very happy with the look of them and the ride.20250613_102615.jpg20250613_103520.jpg20250613_103630.jpg

If I've digested this thread correctly - I *think* should be good with the following on a 2015 car.

245 40 18
18 x 8.5 ET42

Got my eye on a set of flow formed rims. Just the small matter of waiting for the car to arrive from the other side of the planet.

Have you got these yet? I am looking at a 2023 wrx set of rims 18x8.5 with 245/40 18s on them for my 2020 Levorg with stock bilsterns. Does anyone see a problem with this configuration? Thanks

Not yet, no. Car is still on a boat somewhere!

For what it's worth, i've seen plenty of Levorg with WRX STi rims and that stock tyre size on.I think further up the thread someone mentions they're a factory option in the UK.

They're offset 55 though (from memory) - it's the 42 i'm unsure of.

I run 245/45/18 (edit im actually 245/40/18) on a 18x 9.5 ET40 offset without any issues
before that I had STI rims 18x 8.5 55 offset but ran spacers to equal ET38 no issues

Have a play here https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Stock 7.5" 225 (stock) ET55 = 40mm poke
Your new wheel
8.5" 245 tyre with ET42 = 66mm poke
inset doesn't change between

My18x 9.5 ET40 would be 81mm poke and 11mm back into the wheel well

does not rub at all even on full lock.

Ta :) - Can't beat real example.

I can do the offset stuff in my head, and I've run through this thread and looked for the maximums mentioned, but don't have a reference car to measure up on to see what might catch! If you're running a 245/45/18 with a 40 offset OK, I'd be tempted to jump up from the 40 profile I was looking at. I think one of tyres I'm looking at is in that size.
