Hi all

Just noticed that my passenger and drivers side (lesser extent) has some strange corrosion on the inside of the glass ?

I have tried to clean but makes it worse. You can feel a texture on the inside, it also has a yellow tinge but not sure if that's just pollen / dust stuck to it from pine trees.

I've been using some glass cleaner every known and then.

Here are some photos, do you thinks its the tint or film that's falling apart ? Might take to a tint guy see what they think.

Looks like lichen or algae to me. Something like Bio-shield should get rid of it.

kinda of looks like that in the photos but the blooms are actually the indents. If i rub it they get bigger. In the last pic you see the lines they are my scratch marks :(

Finally got some time to site down to solve this

I took your advice grabbed some vinegar water and some mould killer similar to bio shield had lying around.

Gave it a good soak and a lint free cloth and although at the start thought it was getting worse smearing etc. it started to remove it .

took quite a while of cleaning but its pretty much gone now

Thanks again for the advice. so strange really thought it was eating away at the film/ tintrather than being on top

update...well unfortunately my I was right. it is the tint/film

When I cleaned it it removed the pollen stuck to it (yellow tinge) Hard to see but after it dried and in the correct light still see the blooms.

with your finger now you can enlarge the "blooms" by scratching

ill have another look next weekend
