Forum Spam Spam and more Spam

Hey All

As you have likely seen we have been inundated with spam over last few days.
I'm trying my best to remove when it appears.

I have messaged Admin and have made some changes to registration, with updates to software soon

I will keep you informed of any future updates.

yeaaah, I hope admin has got some interesting stuff to do, because we got spammed again...

How are you able to stop the spam? Is it not a human creating a profile and posting crap

Yes and no.. I would say most are automated.

The site blocks hundreds+ of new accounts created everyday from known ips and black listed spammers etc.
The site needs to be updated to add new blacklists and or ways to negate / check if real.

They know how to target current sites version and have found a hole to get in.

Eg when I delete spam it searches site for other users from same ip normally finds at least two more..

Anyway it's a pain and by myself I cant check all the time. admin is away for a few weeks so we are just gonna have to deal till he's back
