It can be (dealer) reprogrammed it is the first thing I had done when I got the car. My dealer also didnt know about it but it is mentioned in the (UK) handbook that comes with the car!

Proximity can be reprogrammed but not key press behavior...

Just been told by my dealer in NZ that it can’t be done. They say the that WRX, Levorg GT-S and any STI can’t be reprogrammed.

Was supposed to pick up my car today but they didn’t get the paint and leather protection done so picking it up tomorrow now. Would love to know if it can be done or not before I go in. Anyone had a GT-S Levorg changed at the dealer. If so which dealer?
