Hi all, looking for info on how 245 45 18 tires would go on 18x8.5 sti mags with offset of 55 on standard GT Levorg. Would rubbing occur? Found plenty on here with 40 profile but not 45... Is anyone able to help me out? Thanks

I am running 255/40R18 on 18x8.5 ET 45 with TEIN Super Streets that are set 2 inches-gap (2 fingers) between rubber and wheel arch fender (front/rear) without rubbing.

So to your question and comparing with the above, your 245/45 will be a bit taller by 16.5mm. I positive think that they will fit.

Is it fitted?? Mine have 225/45/18 (stock size i think) , I want little bit more ground clearance planning to 235/50/18 hope it will not rub or anything.

Mine are 235/45R18 on standard STi rims, it gives me an extra 4mm sidewall. That does cut down the clearance to the panels at the rear of the wheels. I cannot have mud flaps as they now rub due to this extra sidewall height, but other than that there is enough clearance all round. If you were to try 235s with a 50 profile I think you will have rubbing at the front whenever you turn the wheel, not on the guards but behind the front wheel where the mudflaps would be fitted as there is very little clearance there even with 45 profile when turning. I think you'd struggle even to fit a 50 profile of that width on the car let alone steer it :(
