Ordered some nice stuff again from Japanparts and aliexpress.
A set of STI mirror caps in a nice color cherry red.
My calipers are already in this color and after some research I came across original subaru mirror caps at Japanparts
in cherry red.
It's a daring combo but I think it looks cool.
In combination with the front grill stripe and the brake calipers I think it is very successful.
-STI mirror covers
-S207 style front grille stripe
-Turn signal mirror indicators
I've been wondering for some time what that empty black box in the mirror housing was for.
Until I came across turn signal mirror indicators at SubiSpeed.
These ensure that the flashing light signal can also be seen by the driver and if there are other road users next to you
then you can see your turn signal better from behind.
After some searching I ordered the caps from Ali because they were quite expensive at SubiSpeed.
Luckily the fit was perfect and I think it's a nice simple and cheap upgrade.
Strange that Subaru doesn't install this themselves.
The installation is super simple.
First remove the flashing light with two screws.
Carefully break off the black cap.
Place the transparent cap back on the two black catches that remain behind.
I did put some sealant behind it to prevent vibrations.
After that it's a matter of putting everything back together.
Then the grill stripe.
First of all, cut out the sticker as much as possible.
Then properly determined the position and stuck the sticker with painter's tape.
I applied wet with water and drift.
Part by part pulled off the back of the sticker and after pasting with the hairdryer everything is dry well
made for good adhesion of the sticker.
I think the result is really cool!
