Fuel Consumption

Depending on if you have done a reset on fuel consumption since purchasing your Levorg, it would be interesting to know how the consumption is going for your turbo wagon.

Obviously there will be variables such as engine size, driving style, modifications related to fuel consumption and the typical weekly usage area of your vehicle.

I'll share mine to start off...

• FA20, 2lt, mainly 98ron, 95ron occasionally.
  
• No extra fuel consuming mods.
• Driven daily in 'Sports' mode with utilizing 'Sports#' mode at approx. 25% since ownership.
• Seldom 'Intelligent' mode usage approx. 5% since ownership. I have found 'Intelligent' mode only practical on dead flat highways with limited traffic.
  
• Average 1 tank of fuel per week, driving suburban traffic of 60km/hr average accounting for approx. 80km's. The rest is mainly 100km/hr driving.

10.3lt is the overall fuel efficiency since purchase.

Levorg 1.6, 27000km. driving mainly in "intelligent" mode.

onboard computer reports 8.4l/100km since last service at 19000.
however, android application "my cars" reports other numbers (and I trust these more) ; average of 9.33l/100km since I bought that car new. average over the last 3 months is 9.06l/100km. filled her in 52 times total.

driven roads are typically city traffic to/from work (10km one way), and highway driving at 130km/h with cruise control (except for roadworks and slow traffic)

I live in the inner city - My Levorg is a 2.0 GTS with a Stage 1 tune & runs on 98ron. Fuel economy before and after the tune is similar. Around town I usually use Intelligent mode, but will often use Sports# as well. Freeways - nearly always Intelligent mode. I rarely use S1 mode, it seems a bit jerky.
Mileage on the freeways is good - at the 100kph speed limit it runs at 7ish Ltrs/100k, but has often run as low as 6.7 L/100k. I probably average around 10L/100k overall. It depends whether I am lead footing it or not!

I mostly drive on weekends as well.

FA20, 10000 on the clock. Full turbo back exhaust and ECU remapping. Mostly city driving and a lot of sports #. Heavy foot. History is 13.1L/100kns. Saying that. Even on the motorways I am hammering the car. Have remove race cans and put Ye stock cans back on, race down pipe to just past CAT still on. Will reset and see how I go now.

Full turbo back exhaust and ECU remapping.

Can you tell me which exhaust brand you chose? I have looked at the MRT XB exhaust & ECU remap package. They are expensive from MRT, but some of the resellers do it for quite a bit cheaper. SO an interested in what system you used, and what sort of whp you got before and after.

I bought the Indivia Q300, End up with 77NM and around 50KW more. But......................I have sacrificed some of the KW and torque now reverting to the stock cans, still have a 3/4 straight through, but more a sleeper now than a noise flipping car just waiting to get pulled. The noise drove me around the bend and the CVT gearbox can't handle the extra torque very well..........like at all. Worse gearbox ever.

It's a pity they have not beefed up the gearbox. The MRT people reckon it can handle 400nm at the hub - so by the sound of what you have - it might be a bit over that. Why I am interested in the MRT kit, is they claim its performance increase is within the limits of the CVT, (and it is not much noisier).
In fact, it's the tyre noise that bothers me. At some point I am going to get sound proofing added to reduce it.
On the CVT, there is a supplier in the US that offers a better oil cooler and a kit which includes torque converter rated up to 600bhp.

Yep I had a sound system installed in mine and got sound deafening done on the doors, made a difference. In all honesty though I haven't heard the road noise everyone speaks of. Saying that I really don't do a lot of milage on the motorways and the sound system would null and void it anyways.

1.6 dit. GT spec.
Usually driven to and back from work, were speeds differ from 50 - 90 km/h.
Driven in "I" mode, the consumption is from 6,8 at the lowest, and 7,8 at the highest, but usually lands on 7,4.
Last two weeks I've driven a bit more "spirited" than usual (overtaking for fun, accelerating a bit quicker, and driving more highway speeds, 120-130 km/H), and the consomption landed on 8,0.
I usually have to fill up half a tank every week. About 3/4 of a tank the last couple og weeks, but I've been driving a bit more than usual.
Winter time I've noticed a bit higher fuel consumption, but no more than 0,2 or 0,4 more. Engine heater helps some, but not by much.
Lowest I've recorded was 5,8 on a single trip.

I just wish we had the current road building technology that could allow the current tech. spec. built cars to do those speeds here ...still speed limit governed by horse n cart daZe

Limit in Norway is 110 km/h, but 10-20 over is within the limit isn't it?
Sweden is even better, drove to Stockholm one year, limit is 130 km/h, and was overtaken quickly by most motorists.

I get 10.8 and can't get any lower. Driven daily and light traffic. Fuel consumption sucks!

Better fuel consumption really could be as simple as a 'computer programmer' Vs a 'tuner'

After nearly 4 years, Stock 2Ltr GTS with Invidia Catback, I get around 650km from a tank, 750km with the wife in the car lol
So anywhere from 6.5 to 10 L/100
For a performance vehicle the fuel consumption is very good

I did a reset and I'm getting a consistent 11 combined city/highway result. Only 98. And 99% Intelligent mode. I thought I was gonna take a hit at the pump getting this 2.0 after my old car. But I actually get better mileage now. I'm stoked. I haven't ever let it get to empty but I'm always most interested in how many kms I'm getting out of a tank. And it seems I'm getting close to 600km from a tank of 98.

I usually drive in Intelligent mode, but I find it under-revs the engine and I get more tappet rattle, so I've been putting it in S mode more often, especially on hills. It's a second-hand car with the original tyres, which are getting a bit hard and due to be changed though, so it will be interesting to see how that changes things.

G'day Currawong, 10-11 L/100km is pretty good for city only driving, ya gotsta be happy with that. Japan 'regular fuel' is probably way better than our fuel here in Australia, I hear Japan has one of the highest qualities fuel out there. Good tyres should make a bit of difference too.

I have the 2014 1.6 turbo and I drive in intelligent mode and it's done 137k and my fuel consumption is around 12.4km per ltr sorry in new zealand we don't use miles or yards it costs $130 to fill from empty and that can last me 10 days maybe more depending on where and how I drive

I'm doing mostly city driving, and I live on top of a hill, so going back home fairly kills any chance to get good economy. I also live to give it a bit of stick when I have the chance, given the nice torque, otherwise I'd probably get over 10. When I drove to another city through, I got nearly 14 km/L, even with a fair number of traffic lights.
