Hi Folks,

Not sure how many of you have had your Levorg’s for, but I’ve had my Spec-B for just over 6 months and whilst I’ve been very happy with the car overall… I wish Subaru had done / thought about the following:

  • Having either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto instead of their own STARLINK system.
  • Automatic folding mirrors (instead of manual button) – as seen on many European cars and even some other Asian brands.
  • Daytime Running Lights (DRL) – would have looked great with some type of LED type setup.
You guys agree, or have I missed something else?

Wish the Aussie spec model had the DRLs integrated into the silver bar in the black trim of the front number like overseas spec models. Australia gets downgraded spec as always.

Oh and parking sensors would be nice in 2016. Guessing it was not worth cost wise to engineer specifically as stock for such a niche sporty model.

Agree on all fronts
It seems unlikely that we will get a firmware update to allow AppleCarPlay
In Australia it is disappointing that it seems the only App available is Pandora even the official
Subaru Starlink App as a gateway to weather etc is not accessible likewise Mirrorlink
Maybe the DRLs can be changed to LEDs ??
Voice recognition another disappointment apart from that a very good car

Agree on most.

AppleCarPlay - I have no care for, but for those that do, the rumors are future releases will have it.

Manual over automatic folding mirrors - easily solved with some wiring or replacement part.

DRL - easily solved with replacement part.

Also, wished Subaru made the Spec B model
* more than just an STi cosmetic difference
* STi Brembo brakes
* more STi interior parts

I agree that instead of starlink they could install a better HU, rumor has it the 2018 XV and impreza are getting a much better HU supporting both platforms.
I solved my problem by replacing it with a Pioneer F77 HU and very happy with it.
DRLs are easy to fix. Just replace the bulbs with p13w led ones but be careful the fitting is not standard. Philips halogen bulbs are kinda strange.

I would love to have a two color leather combination on the seats instead of just black. STI edition in japan gets a nice purple/black interior.

Advanced safety package is also missing in Turkish variants. Parking assist could be a nice touch. Better speakers and sound proofing...

but overall Levorg is the best Subaru in the market. I love my car and I am glad I bought it.

2nd that, would have been nice to get different brakes at least, but I suppose it's not actually an STI, just spec B. Still, gen 4 spec b liberty had its own engine.

I actually prefer the new 2L compared to the 2.5 for around town purely due to less turbo lag on the 2L. A more aggressive tune or exhaust would have been good on the spec b to give different power specs. Oh well, all get added to the mod list.

I've owned it for about 5 months now, and i don't really have much to complain about.
-Some more juice, we only have the 1,6L here in Norway, I'm guessing it's because of the price the 2L variant would have had.
-Seats, the original ones are not too comfy, and lack side support, my old '02 3 series BMW actually had better seats, thats atleast my opinion.
The rest is fixable, with minor modification, and does not bother me.

Well, the things I have added to my Levorg so far should be here I think.
*Auto lock module : a simple box which locks the door when the car reaches 15km/h
*Auto mirror folding module: folds the side mirrors on lock and opens them on unlock.
*Mirror lowering module: lowers the right side mirror on reverse which makes it easier to backup.
*Auto window roll up/down module: rolls up the windows when I lock the car. It also opens them remotely which is not a bad thing in hot summer days.
*TDI tuning chip: I have not put it to a Dyno test yet but you can feel the extra power and torque.
*A better sound system of course. If you are looking for your own space to enjoy some of your favorite tunes while on the road, you must get a decent sound setup.
*Auto sunroof closer module: still trying to locate one. so far , no luck.
*Blue side mirror lenses: I want to get a pair of these but not yet. I think they will be a great addition to Levorg.
*Rally armor mud flaps: I got red ones installed on my ice silver Levorg and they look phenominal. 2015 WRX+ ones fit with minor modification.

I can help you get these parts, feel free to contact me.

I've had mine for only two weeks so I'm still in the 'honeymoon' phase, but this is what it seems to me could have been included.
- air vents for the rear passangers.
- auto boot opening/closing.
- better sound system.

Any chance you have a photo of the drivers side power windows connector including wiring?

Hi Ozkan, I’m interested on the autolock module, the mirror folding and lowering modules. Which ones have you bought and has it ever failed?

Ozkan's not been seen in years. But there's this...
Finally can confirm a 100% Plug and Play module for auto closing and opening windows and folding/unfolding side mirrors for all us Levorg owners with Right Hand Drive models ;)
I purchased from Aliexpress, conversion rate meant a total cost including shipping of $59.76 AUD, and delivered in 11 days. Install took less than half an hour being cautious and cleaning as I went.
Here’s the link to ensure you order the correct part:-https://m.aliexpress.com/item/4000606727286.html?browser_id=c7d69833023c46b1b82aa75f999e8069&aff_trace_key=&aff_platform=msite&m_page_id=pxggmlf8lmcaqgif1787236e31412eafe95118c8b7&gclid=&_imgsrc_=ae01.alicdn.com%2Fkf%2FH3e5e0261ca9c45fba53a20eb1ad6ad9fS.png_640x640.png

I ensured I sent a note to the seller when ordering saying my model, year and that it’s a RHD vehicle. No problems ;)

Everything works as advertised and install was a breeze. I definitely recommend this product.

Thanks for letting me know! Does this already include the lowering when reversing or that’s a separate item?
