    Headlamp units are expensive!

I had Richtoy Subaru do it as they could get the part next day and fit me in the day after. Including VAT it was £1440 :( £100 labour for fitting and alignment, the rest was the cost of the headlight. They don't appear to have charged to scan and clear the codes. Yes I wanted to know what I...

    Headlamp units are expensive!

Despite my efforts to seal the cracks, the recent heavy rain caused an SRH disabled warning. We had a trip to Edinburgh planned so I bit the bullet and had the headlight replaced. They also did alignment and cleared the warning codes. I kept the old one an was surprised how big it is...

Has anyone used this site for parts? https://www.amayama.com/en I could look up my VIN, it's not found on PartSouq

    Headlamp units are expensive!

I don't know the part number, but it is a UK spec one I need. I'm not sure what the difference is as there is nothing on the clear part of the headlight that would direct the beam. Edit - I found a part number with my cheap but trusty amazon endoscope. 84002VA161. Looks like it's 2017 onwards

    Headlamp units are expensive!

Thank you for this. Work has an office in Japan so I can talk to a friend who works there about this.

    Headlamp units are expensive!

Something either came off or was kicked up by a lorry on my way to work on Tuesday. I was doing 50mph, the lorry maybe 40mph as it was going uphill. There was a loud bang, and whatever it was also rattled around under the car as well. The Subaru dealer quoted £1100 + vat for a replacement...

    Road trip mpg

I thought I would post this if anyone is interested in real world mpg for the 2.0 non turbo Levorg. We had to go up to Aberdeen, so we thought why not go up to John O'Groats while we are up that way. The route map just shows the main destination points and doesn't take into account some...

    Does dealer service history matter?

It stops oil hitting the under tray and making a mess. I guess it saves the dealers having to remove the tray.

    Does dealer service history matter?

I forgot to update this - I ended up doing an oil and filter change myself. Not having access to the special oil drain tool I found something that worked. Luckily the bowl was close to the underside of the car as there was quite a wide fan of oil  Version 2 of my diy tool should avoid...

    Part number request

I guess so. It was fine before the dealer replaced the track rod ends as the rubber covers were split. They've aligned it twice and told me it's 'spot on' but I've never been happy with it as it's pulled to the left and the steering wheel is very slightly right hand down. Thank you for the...

    Part number request

Hi My car is pulling left so I took it in for an aligment check. The garage found the ride height is 1.5cm lower on the near side and is showing a little positive camber on the aligment machine. The spring is not broken and the garage measured the lower arms and told me the n/s one is...

    Does dealer service history matter?

Our Levorg is coming up 5 years old. We are still very happy with it and so far have maintained a dealer service history. We tend to run our cars for a long time (Forester 206k miles, Outback 170k miles) and as we have no plans to change the Levorg I'm wondering if it's worth maintaining a...

Getting a wire into the engine bay

This is turning out to be harder than it should be. There are 2 small grey grommets in the engine bay, but so far I've not been able to find a route down the back of the dashboard. Every time I've tried it either comes through the pollen filter hole or I can't find the end. Very frustrating...

Getting a wire into the engine bay

Having removed the glovebox I found the large grommet, and also the grommet for the washer tube so I have a couple of options now - thanks. There is also a spare slot in the dash fusebox that I could use if I run the cable down the other side of the car. I'm told by the supplier the 12v feed...

Getting a wire into the engine bay

Hi I have an ECS wiring kit for my towbar https://www.ecs-electronicsuk.co.uk/ecsdata/manuals/SB036BHU%20Levorg.pdf I can't find a way I'm happy with to run a wire from inside the car into the engine bay, steps 18 & 20. Following the washer tube seems to be a good route but I can't reach to...

Not Levorg, but still Subaru - 16" steel wheels and tyres for winter use

The PCD is wrong for a Levorg. They fit an '03 to '09 Outback (maybe others) and are as close as I could get to a 17" wheel and 55 profile tyre. They are 0.1" smaller. Just trying on here to see if there's any interest

Not Levorg, but still Subaru - 16" steel wheels and tyres for winter use

I hope it is ok to put my old Outback winter wheels on here. I am not active enough on my old Subaru haunts so I am unable to offer these up to the Subaru community on there, and I wondered if anyone on here had more than 1 Subaru. 16" Steel wheels with 215/60 R16 tyres 16.5JJ x 16, PCD 5x100...
