Interested to hear from people who have towed with their Levorg.
What have you towed?
Weight?
Distance?
Tow bar? After market or factory? Braked or unbraked?

I tow with my 1.6, a caravan weighing 800kg or a 1000kg trailer, both braked. Hundreds of miles at a time, using an aftermarket tow bar. I tow in S not I, and the car tows very well. The UK spec 1.6 has 2 transmission coolers - a modine and a small radiator in front of the AC condenser.

MY17 Subaru Levorg 2.0LTR GTS
MY17 2.0 GTS
Factory tow bar
Rated for 750kg unbraked and 1200kg braked
Occasional towing over 3.5 years
Fire wood, soil and camping etc
Unbraked up to 1 tonne on shorter trips
Car tows really well and no problems due to note below...

NB/
Remember to only tow in S or S#, never in IA
I usually use S, sometimes S# in manual for heavier load or hills off-road

I have a 2019MY non-turbo 2.0. The towbar is by Witter and fitted by a third-party auto-shop. In Sweden (even in small cities) it's really hard to rent a panel van. Most retailers (Ikea, MediaMarkt, K-Rauta, Mio, hardware stores, furniture stores, etc) will usually let you rent a free box or covered trailer to get your purchases home, usually free with a big purchase. So almost every car you see here, whether its a sub-compact or an SUV, has a towbar.

Only problem has been that just before I took the second photo, the plastic cover for the electrical socket broke off. It was -15°C and the plastic around the spring-loaded cap just snapped! I had to buy a replacement plug which I will be wiring in sometime soon.

Why is that? I assume to keep the revs up a bit higher for better response and engine braking, but would like to know the rationale.
Thanks!
