boot gas strunts or springs

Hi All ,
need help with finding boot gas springs/strunts ..
the boot don't holds up when opening ,
didn't find any at Ebay or JDM !!!

mine is 2016 levorg 1.6

Part number is 63269VA001 (right) and 63269VA011 (left).

I'm struggling to find replacements for these in the UK. Does anyone have any tips? The aliexpress ones I bought have failed and new ones from Subaru are £220 per pair from a dealer! It is the body mounting mechanism that has failed on mine, not the gas strut itself. Will try and bodge a fix but ideally would like some quality replacements.

Other option is just to buy more cheap ones and change every couple of years!

Change dealer, I recall maybe much less. I'll try & find the invoice (w/ the PN) later today.

Could not find the invoice.

But I have found a washer fluid pump invoice from 3 years ago, I paid 56€. Ask your dealer for a quote. If they ask for more than 100€, they're clearly trying to rip you off for a pump. So they'd likely also be trying to rip you off for 2 struts

AliExpress have tailgate struts from GBP40. They fit and work but no idea how long they will last..!

The right side is 63269VA001 and the left side is 63269VA011 . For replacements, you've got a few options. Stabilus makes direct replacements, with part numbers like 2864UI, 864964, or 115208 , and they usually run around £20-£30 each. Some Levorg owners have had good luck with cheaper AliExpress sets for about £40, but those tend to fail every couple of years . The dealer will charge you around £220 for a pair, which is pricey . Since the AliExpress ones use a different body mounting mechanism that tends to fail, I'd go with a mid-range option like Stabilus or Lesjöfors and replace them once and be done with it.
