DVD playing while driving

I have a JDM radio. A Panasonic AVIC-RZ09. When playing the DVD while parked and take off the handbrake the video stops. Is it possibly to turn this function off in the settings rather than wiring? Handy for the kids on long drives. I know. Who has DVD's anymore.

It's generally a built in safety issue, so I would say the handbrake input into the unit would have to be rewired.

On the old liberty, you must had to cut 1 wire and ground it out. But they have not changed it, have a look on the liberty forums

I think its the grey wire on the 28pin plug (factory subaru) should have an earth with park brake applied. If JDM radio is aftermarket it may be a green wire.
