Factory headunit sub install

Hi Crew,

Probably been asked a thousand times, but looking to add an underseat sub to help the atrocious sound quality of the factory setup.... ( 2016 2.0 Aus delivered )

Does the sub outlet exist before I begin? Or just change it out for a better unit?

There was no sub out on stock head unit on mine but i have JDM.

allot of sub amps and or underseat powered subs can be wired into speaker outs (will say speaker level inputs ) you wont have control of the level via the head unit but you can adjust the gain on the amp of the subwoofer.

I would highly recommend an upgraded android head unit however the likes of idoing or similar have been very happy with mine.

Thanks for the reply mate. Im definitely going down the replacement head unit road now, the factory setup is total kaka. In the bin.
A few plug and play kits out there which makes life easier.
