So what happens with the buttons now? The I S S# ? Do they still make any difference? Or it runs the same no matter what button is pressed?

Transmission buttons all operate exactly the same as before. No change. Definite improvement in pick up and acceleration in all modes ;)

Just finished 2 week road trip around south east Victoria. Car performed beautifully. Mix of camping and accommodation, from Fish Creek and Golden Beach, to Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Myrtleford and Mount Buffalo. Finding camping spots with the car so low was a challenge at times, will definitely wind the coilovers up first next time. About 2800km in total, some of the worst dirt roads yet. Bought an awning and mounted it with quick release mounts onto the side of the cargo cage which I mounted to the left of the roof racks leaving space on the right to carry the swag. Update on the dynotune, all running well, smoother in all regards and fuel economy has improved by approx 1/2Ltr per 100km. Haven't re-tested the 0-100kph time with the draggy yet, but with the car fully loaded (as per above pic) and the Mrs in the car using the iPhone stopwatch it got high sixes to low sevens consistently, so there should be some improvement over stock time with no load or passenger, will update again when re-tested with the draggy.

Expense but worth it then!
Worth it for the extra response, pick up and power. Fuel saving is a bonus, at todays prices it’s about $7.20 free fuel per tank lol which means in 179 weeks it will have paid for itself! Raflmao!!

Well, after much research, procrastinating and mind changing, I bit the bullet and got her Dynotuned yesterday. Decided against the CAI due to their reduced filtering ability, spewin coz I'd love to release all those beautiful turbo and induction noises, but she sees a few dirt roads and nothing filters like the OEM paper filter, so stock airbox remains. The only other mod that could help the tune is my Q300 catback which I fitted myself years ago, so no parts added, just a straight tune. Got it done at HorsePower Factory in Dandenong South, cost was $1295.
Stock HP for our 2Ltrs is 268HP of which about 187 of them reach the wheels. After remap is 292.7HP at the flywheel, 204.89atw. Torque was increased by 11-25% across the rev range, From 350Nm torque to approx 437Nm at peak, 395Nm average. But more importantly than numbers is the lines with no dips.
So what difference has it made? Smoother Idle, much improved throttle response, builds boost earlier, quicker to start moving from dead stop, no flat spots or drop offs in acceleration. Obviously early days as it was just done yesterday, but happy with the noticeable results. Will test 0-100 time with the Draggy soon, see if its made much difference to the 6.7sec I got out of her so far.

Looking through the old results the best valid time previously was 6.96sec to 100kph (not 6.7 like I wrote previously, oops)
Just retested today and achieved a 6.25sec, so 0.71 second improvement it pretty respectable for a straight no parts dynotune. She's now quicker than the CVT WRX ;)
She now hits 100kph after 91.81m instead of 106.56m, that should give you an idea of what the real life difference is with those extra KW and Nm. Definitely some extra g-force pushing you back in the seat now, the Dragy used to sit and stay on the dash without needing to use the adhesive on the magnetic base, now with the extra acceleration it flies into the backseat and needs to be mounted lol

If yours is a JDM it's got (by the book anyway) 221kw and 400Nm. I personally wouldn't be trying to get too much more out of it myself. Mine being an ADM (by the book) has 197Kw and 350Nm, only difference between the 2 cars is the tune, and Japanese fuel quality of course. I tuned mine to approx 218Kw and 420Nm about 17 months ago, Dyno Tuned at HPF, not OTS rubbish (MHO). The 420Nm is peak, not constant. My only performance mod is an Invidia Q300 catback. I didn't get the CAI, which would've provided a few more Kw, because I'm not at all comfortable with the amount of, and size of the particles they don't filter.
More important than the numbers though, are the new dyno curves, higher and straighter, no dead spots and drop offs. Massive difference in how the car drives and accelerates. You should definitely be using only 98 in yours if it's a JDM. A dyno for a JDM model wouldn't yield alot more power, certainly not safely anyway, but perhaps the lines could be improved, but is that worth the $$$ to you? Being tuned to the temps and altitudes it's being driven at certainly helps it run more efficiently (smoother, more economical etc), so there's that to consider too I guess.
For an ADM I say it's definitely worth it because you get ALL the gains, better power curves, better acceleration, better fuel economy etc, where as a JDM won't see as big of a difference in most of these areas.

Yeah, mine is JDM and I am using 98 only. So, looks like I'm using all its capabilities. It is a pure pleasure to drive it.
Btw, what specs are your wheels? Are they 7.5" width or 8.5? I can't tell by the photo...

Done a few mods so far, not a lot engine performance wise as I don’t trust the CVT to handle it unfortunately :( Mild tune maybe?
