Launch control ?

Hi guys anyone tried the launch control (as per the WRX with cvt) as we have the same drive train it should work and be OK?

you mean put the box in S, left foot brake, full on the gas, and let the brake go at once ?

yep, regularly - that's my way of ensuring my engine doesn't get full of carbon buildup.
doing that from a highway rest area with engine & box fully warm obvs

car still under warranty. will stop doing idiot stuff once it expires in August

Torque off the line IS the one big thing the cvt lacks unfortunately. I do love a manual, but apart from the slow build up off the mark and low torque adding capabilities I have grown to really enjoy the cvt I must admit. If it could take 500Nm and use it from stop to go to whoa it would be the perfect weapon.

I haven't tried it either and I'm regretting buying the CVT. I wanted to up the power after the warranty is up, but the cvt will stop me...
