Mishimoto Air intake

Hi everyone! Wanted to ask if anyone here has had experience with their 1.6L engine fitted with the Mishimoto Performance Air Intake for WRX 17+, I was told that it should be compatible, but i’m getting check engine errors and the car is shaking with a knocking sound.

Really worried, can anyone suggest anything?

For the 2.0 litre Levorgs & WRXs, cold air intakes are only good if like a bit more noise on the intake. They offer no real performance increases.
Look up MRT Performance in Sydney. They have a youtube channel & a website - they have done lots of testing on alternative intakes & conclude they are not worth doing.

Take it off man
Performance wise they are not required unless heavily modified.
You can still fit one without mods for the sake of the Intake noises if you like,
but whenever you fit a CAI you must get it Dyno-tuned or you risk severe engine damage due to the MAF sensor not knowing what's going on.
you can change to a high flow drop in panel filter without a tune, but not a full CAI
