Odd squealing noise

Hi all,

I'll cut right to the point. I have a 2014 Levorg 2.0T, and for the past month or so I've noticed a whistling/squealing noise coming from the engine bay.

This noise doesn't occur when first starting the car or at idle. I've only really noticed it under light acceleration, and usually only when the engine is hot. I have checked the accessory belt and it looks fine. I also had CroweSport here in Christchurch have a look at it, they agreed that the belt looked fine. Their mechanic took it for a drive but we couldn't replicate the noise (possibly because the engine was warm, around 70°C, but not hot, 90-100°C).

I'm out of ideas of what it could be, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Either an exhaust gasket, air leak or a pulley.
Turn the air con on and off and see if it stops while on or off.

The noise started getting more frequent so I took it to the mechanic again, ensuring engine was hot before arriving. Turned out to be a bad accessory belt tensioner which would look normal at idle, but under load it would just release the tension it was holding, causing the belt to slip which made the noise.

Being fixed next weekend.
