Hi. Can anyone help I got my levorg in February. A Japanese import couple of years back. I taxed it and payed £355. Never gave it a second thought. Found out yesterday the road tax should be twenty quid. I did a live chat DVLA and was told they did not have any co2 emmisions details for the car and hence the £355 charge. I asked what could I do to sort it and got told I need to go back to the manufacturer. Has anybody in the club had a similar issue if so did they resolve it. And how. Thanks all in anticipation of the way forward

No way should your road tax come out at £20, you've been misinformed. My daughters KIA Picanto 1.0 2015 is £20 road tax, because all cars below 1.0 litres and emissions below 99kg/m of CO2 were charged at that rate back then. The only Subaru in 2015 that would hit that figure would be one with a non running engine, I'm afraid, Col.

My new 2017 JDM STI has just been registered in uk and rfl is £365
That sounds about right. My former UK registered Levorg 1.6 GT was at the time £165 road tax. Now it would have been £195. A blob eye or hawkeye Impreza WRX or STI would be costing the poor owner over £695 for a year.
I still think that Subaru and International Motors shouldn't have ceased to import them. Just import the ones we really desired, the turbocharged versions.
Anyone buying them are prepared to pay for the RFL

What year / model is it? Sounds like you have a 2.0 going by the £355.

If it's come in without needing it's emissions testing, it'll just be taxed under the old pre 2001 tax bands. So £220 if it's 1549cc or under, £360 if it's over 1549cc. ULEZ zones tend to be OK if you're newer than about 2006, but it's worth a quick check.
