No problem, be sure to update us if it fixed the problem. As to the fafafa and extra rumble type noises you’re hearing from the engine bay, a lot of that will just be the increased induction volume from the CAI, sounds awesome IMO, but must tune to keep them. Unfortunately the ‘boxer rumble’ is all but gone in the FA series engines due to needing equal length headers for the new twin spool turbos, the rumble came from the the unequal length headers and the boxer design combined, so we sort of still get a little taste every now and then.
As to trans coolers, I hear they make about a 6 degree Celsius lower temp which is always good unless you’re in a cold country like our Swedish and Norwegian brothers, then not so good.
Cheers I will keep you posted. I'm definitely going to Look at a cvt cooler. I live in NZ so not often in freezing conditions.

Do all the other cvts whine a bit under load?

You're right. The induction sounds amazing.. And there's def a power increase.
Worth looking at pre configured tuning packages? Tunes are very expensive. I'm more interested in a cobb or something that I can adjust

Any advice appreciated.

The cvt whine is normal under load, I actually don't mind it myself, race cars whine so I can pretend I'm in one lol
Prices may vary in NZ, but in Oz an ecu tune is about $850-$950, tune only no parts. If yours is a JDM Vorg then you are already putting out 221kw and 400Nm, which I wouldn't exceed, and you should definately not use less than 98RON. Japan has awesome fuel which is why they tune the JDM cars up, or should I say de-tune ours. 400Nm is pretty much the highest torque the cvt can take and retain reliability, sure you can tune for more but it's a risky chance to take, and expensive if it kills it (like 12K) There's a reason Subaru have lowered the engine size and turbo output to the cvt models now, and that's because its cheaper to reduce the engine output than strengthen the cvt for higher torque. A tune for you would just be for induction noise, not performance, unless you wanted to risk it and hope for the best. Personally I don't even want to risk a tune up to JDM spec on mine, as much as I'd like too. Maybe a tune that goes half way between ADM and JDM would still be worth it in our Oz cases as we have 350Nm, so a tune could give us a bump in power as well as induction noise and possibly still retain reliability. Still a risk in my mind though. As to COBB accessport, even though the engine and cvt are the same as the WRX, COBB say they haven't tested it with Levorg and therefore don't offer compatability, especially not with a JDM Spec model as you're already putting out more than most of their OTS maps already ;( Their OTS maps are based off the 197kw 350Nm models same as in Oz and still require a different accessport than USDM.
I think you may have to settle for 24Kw and 50Nm more than us you Poor bugga! ;)

Just remembered another option for you if you’re set on upping the performance. A company called Racechip has pretuned tuning boxes for the Levorg. Their website only lists the 1.6Ltr, but I contacted them about the 2Ltr to see if they had one to suit and the news was bad for me but good for you. They haven’t got one for the 197kw 350Nm tune, but they have got one for the JDM 221kw 400Nm like yours. If you want go to racechip.com and contact them for the specs. Cheaper than an ecu tune but still not cheap but unlike an ecu tune it can be unplugged and returned to stock at any time as it doesn’t change any factory ecu settings or safeguards. If I remember correctly they’re around the $400 mark. Unfortunately it won’t help you with your K&N CAI problem though, neither will a COBB Accessport, as the CAI must be tuned ON the car because each brand is so different in their air delivery.
