Yeah it’s nice having the the performance and responsiveness of Sports # mode in I mode (ie without the 8 pretend gear changes)
The economy mode makes a huge difference to fuel economy too, just got over 850km on a tank on the trip I just did to the Grampians. Economy mode is also really good on rough dirt roads at keeping the acceleration smooth.
I usually leave it on auto mode so you get the best of both worlds.
