$1200 for the tune. How much was the quote on the tune? Did they fit the intake/ diff back exhaust?
thanks for telling me, got a quote from tunehouse in marrickville for just stage 1 and it was 1600... hopefully I can get around the same gains with an intake.$1200 for the tune.
I installed the intake and exhaust myself.
I was originally gonna install a J pipe as well but they advised me not to as it will you loose torque off idle and cvt wouldn't be able to handle it. I would highly recommend msr if your thinking of getting a tune he definitely knows what he's doing.
Pulse racing in Menai wanted $1600 for a tune.
Ichiban in Ingleburn said that the program they use to tune cvts no longer works so can't go to them at the moment.
Dam you got a good deal just checked Japan parts $890 for exhaust but $340 shipping ouch...Thanks mate.
Yeah he's done two tunes on one of my previous wrx's as well.
I sourced the hks system from Japan. RHDjapan it was about $1000 delivered. It's really quiet at idle and low revs but has a nice raspy almost hollow sound at high rpms. Perfect for me because I daily the car for work and didn't want any drone or anything to loud.
CheersGreat numbers, well done

These guys are cheaper that's were I got it
Only thing he said about the intake is it will run a bit lean without a tune. I only installed the intake for the sound but the fact I gained about 40kw at the wheels after the tune I think the car gained a bit of power from it. The mishimoto intake uses pipping the same diameter as stock and the maf is in the same location as stock. The filter is in an enclosed airbox the gets air from the stock snorkel. A lot of the other intakes ether go into the fender or just a filter in the engine bay which might be a problem? But I'm not sureWhat did the tuner say about the intake? I was advised to leave the stock intake as fa20s and CVT seem to not like the change?
Nice. I had a similar setup on my hawkeye ej255. You can hear the stock bpv really well with the intake on the levorg as well and the spooling sounds awesome.Oh nice I'll look into it. I'm mostly chasing the sound. But I'd tune it aswell. When I had my WRX with the ej25 I had a process west cold air intake, and invidia headers right through to q300 and it sounds awesome. Still used the factory bov but you could hear it like it was vented to atmosphere. Thanks for that. I just have the q300 exhaust car back, and a flash tune on the levorg at the moment. But was told I could put the J pipe on if I wanted. But was scared to do that from what I'd heard from others
