I think the park brake recall is world wide and affects other Subaru models too. Mine's going in next week for the fix. It's apparently an electrical connector that has been known to crack under extremely low temperatures ie -30c, so unlikely to be an issue in most places.
There is an auto shut off function. Mine come on, with the front ones, when I approach or open the car, and dim to off along with the front ones when I close it. Are you saying your rear interior lights are on all the time? Yes, they're push-on push-off, but note that if they are manually...
I drained my battery the same way, I had accidentally hit the switch whist loading stuff in the back and didn't notice it. The behaviour of the interior lights can be changed on the top screen on the dash, it's in the handbook. If you use the stop start, it canes the battery, I never use it myself.
I've had mine for nearly 3 years with no issues. Still very happy with it, and really like the CVT. As for parts, there's a few sellers on eBay that do skirts, spoilers etc, otherwise, there's some great stuff to be had from Japan and Taiwan.
The 'camera' in the centre of the screen is in fact a high beam sensor. The green led is for the auto dimming rear view mirror. Eyesight came on 2017 model year.
I don't think you'll get more than 3 years out of a battery, mine lasted 2 years an was replaced under warranty. There's a lot of battery drain on these. I use a trickle charger if I'm not using the car.
Settings are as below. Not possible to select on the fly as it lives under the bonnet. Not bluetooth.
No other recalls as yet. The parking brake connector recall one is non critical and is only affected by extremely cold climates.
Tuning box is a simple device:

Only effects the engine. I also have a Sprintbooster throttle controller to sharpen it up a bit.
Wheels are very light 17s.

UK owner here. I've had my 2017 1.6 facelift nearly 3 years now, no regrets. I've just done a 2500 mile trip to Germany and Denmark, the car was brilliant throughout and even returned 40mpg overall. I have a tuning box fitted, which gives 200 hp and 212 Lb/ft torque. Not exactly fast, but fast...
Of course. Check this thread out on the uk legacy forum. It refers to the 3.0 H6 but he now does the FA20DIT too. You have to buy/rent a tactrix cable and take logs of pulls and runs. He can also retune the CVT...
There's only a couple of FA20s in the UK, so doubtful if there's many been remapped. Edward at Xtreme does remote tunes for these though. Knock detection on these DIT engines is very comprehensive, so remap should be fairly straightforward. Limiting factor is the torque rating of the TR690 box...
Robsyuk - there is a member on here, samlux, who has a JDM 2L Levorg, maybe you could message him for more info? He's in Oxfordshire. Sti Levorg is same as regular JDM 2L, just cosmetic sadly ie no Brembos, same engine tune etc.
