No second cooler on my 1.6, just the stock oil-water one. All coolers are heat exchangers. The torque handling capacity of the TR580 gearbox is the limiting factor with the 1.6. The 2L has the TR690, a completely different transmission, with higher torque rating.

My 2017 Euro spec 1.6 has a transmission cooler.

My 1.6 GT came with the dealer option STI wheels - 18x8.5, running 245/40 tyres. Too much wheel for this car with my usage, especially for the great British B road. Car felt ponderous at times, the low speed ride was confused, and it tramlined a lot. So I sorted it out with very light (6.9kg)...

Black roof is a vinyl wrap. Mirrors painted. So far, I'm liking it a lot. The engine is a peach, CVT is great. It's over-wheeled with 18x8.5 and 245 tyres - they tramline a bit, and are heavy. Looking for some 17x7.5 that are nice and light. RPF1s maybe?

Picked up a 2017 1.6 GT today, eyesight model. STI wheels and body kit. This is my 7th successive Subaru, my last was an '09 Outback 3.0R. I'm looking forward to getting to know it.
