I have the model E and belive there is a model F. I don't know what the difference is, it could even just be the age of release. I read somewhere that the lifters in the engine have been revised as the earlier models just fall out, - I saw a video, but I don't know when this revision happened...

My jdm 2.0 sti had a recall for the fuel pump, so the pump could be faulty when getting warm and tripping the system. There are others things on the fuel line circuit and could possibly be cuasing the fault when the wires get hot. What country are you in, as subaru may have a recall to change...

Clean the maf, check the spark plugs are good and even replace the cvt fluid

What wording within eyesight removes the voice? I've tried alsorts and assumed it was the sat nav telling me I'm driving through a river. Any ideas what she is saying?

That's fair enough, wrx suspension from the same year will bolt directly on, so you could fit 2nd hand fairly cheaply

For me I'd change all 4 shocks to coiloversyes they are expensive, but offer more benefits, including when it comes to sell the car.

Yeah, i read somewhere that in Japan the sti is tuned for 98 Ron instead of 101. My impreza was the same. As long as you use 99 the engine will run perfectly

No never. I've just used Tesco momentum - 99ron and every 4 months I use an obtain booster
