I suspect that most of the volume is knocked out mid pipe, and the mufflers on the back don't need to do too much. Having had it for a couple of days I would like a bit louder.

Price for the full system is $2090 + $15 delivery. The note is not loud and in your face. It's rather subtle. I had one on my previous MY15 WRX, it just nice enough to notice but it's not a cop magnet. The one on the WRX was cat back, I'm going turbo back this time, cater for the additional weight of the Levorg with more KW's.

I can recommend a guy in Brisbane that does my tuning. He's awesome
Just wondering how'd you get on with this? Any chance of a video?

Sure. The exhaust is awesome, has a really nice note and will be even better when we get the tune and ECU right. I will get my daughter to do some vids this weekend and upload them.

Just to confirm that you have the Turbo back system? Which would obviously sound different to a cat back system.

Can you do some drive by clips instead of the usual in Park and rev. which mean nothing really.

You're lucky - I've no idea why we only get the 1.6 here - it's like they don't understand what the customers want - i'd happily have paid extra for the more powerful engine - I wonder how complex a transplant would be.....
I wonder the same thing but with the current regulations it seems next to impossible. You will need to replace the gearbox as well. The easiest way would be to find a totaled forester xt with good engine and gearbox and do the swap. Where do you live? we have the same 1,6 lt here in Turkey.

Hey mate, you don't have to do the gear box as well. Just make sure when you do the exhaust you get a tune and don't load up the torque to early with the tune. Mine kicks in around 3.3k

Worse case something goes wrong, slap the original back on, load the stock mapping and call Subaru :)

With the full turbo back there is a drone. Not massive or annoying, but I upgraded the sound system too so I don't hear anything on the motorway now.

How you finding the power increase.

Did you actually get 50kw and 80nm from exhaust + tune!?

That would make it seriously quick.

Wonder what your 0-100km/h would be now.

Just slap on some Pirelli P-Zeros for that extra performance/handling ;)

I don't have the graphs but we ended up with 32kw to the wheels and 70nm more at 3500rpm. We intentionally got the torque to come in late to look after the shitty CVT gearbox. 0-100 not much quicker, the power come on later, see above. By Jesus when it kicks in it goes like pooh off a shovel. It's awesome but to be honest the biggest win are the coil overs I had installed. What a massive difference they made, no more bouncing around the road wondering when you going to end up :)

The noise is flipping brilliant now lol.

Wow! That sounds awesome mate
Well done.

Perhaps when you get a chance you can do some drive by takes for the sound of the beast :)

Also, I read on MRTs website that realistically they don't recommend going above 400nm specifically that the CVT gearbox won't handle a lot more or it's a gamble if you go higher then that.

If you look at the Levorg on the Japanese website (use google chrome to convert the language) their version has 221kw and 400nm stock. And it looks better especially with the leds embedded in where our chrome inserts go near the fog lights.

I reckon their version would easily shave 1 second off our Aus 0-100 stint.

Sweet I will take a look. Yeah the gearbox is a little touchy hence we tweeted the torque to kick a lot later. It's definitely quicker, no doubt. I use the paddles a lot more now just to perfectly hold the power band.

I ended up keeping the full turbo back to the cat but put the stock rear cans back on.

Any one looking for Q300 cat back let me know. I will sell you mine.
